Workplace Aware – Prepare Respond Support, is a unique program that equips workplaces to address the overlooked psychosocial harms associated with staff exposure to suicide and sudden death. Research and evaluation conducted over six years, has shown the effectiveness of our program model and approach, empowering workplaces to identify and mitigate risk and foster safe, supportive working environments which promote staff wellbeing.

Workplace Aware – Prepare, Respond Support

The risk mitigation model being applied by the NHS

The Australian Work Health & Safety Act 2011 requires employers to mitigate psychosocial harms to which staff may be exposed, including stress and trauma. Staff working in a range of frontline roles with clients distressed by mental health, family, social and economic stressors are widely exposed to suicide and sudden death. The impact of this work includes stress, trauma and suicidal ideation.

Developed over six years, our evidence-based program delivers tailored, integrated training and tools to prepare workplaces to respond to and support staff and clients exposed to/ impacted by suicide and sudden death.

The program has shown to improve staff preparedness and confidence and equip employers to create safer work environments which meet regulatory requirements.
